I believe in the free market system. I am a capitalist that believes if you can’t compete, you should be allowed to fail. With our current socialist president, we now own all kinds of businesses we shouldn’t. We have propped up businesses that should have gone bankrupt. There is a price to pay for bad business decisions like exorbitant salaries, inadequate loan application evaluation, or inferior product design.
You and I could not do anything about the recent rash of government bailouts, except remind those representatives who voted for them that they will be out of work come election day. There is a group that we, as capitalists, can affect through our spending habits. Entertainers! I don’t sign up for boycotts, I don’t carry the flag around. I simply refuse to give money to people that, in my opinion, are un-American, extreme liberals, or just plain jerks. Why should I spend money for people I consider to be idiots to perpetuate their lifestyles?
I get teased at work once in a while because of my refusal to patronize certain stores, or watch certain movies because of who is in it or who is producing it, etc. I often say the list is long but distinguished. People like Sean Penn, Alec Baldwin, George Soros, Michael Moore, Keith Olberman, Morgan Freeman, and Tim Robbins turn my stomach. Why would anyone think it was funny that I refuse to give them my money to continue bad mouthing the Country that made them rich. I usually don’t join Facebook groups, but I did join this one: Americans Against Anti-American Actors and Artists.
I am always disappointed by the paparazzi society we live in. The hero worship of superficial puddle deep celebrities keep us from actually paying attention to important issues like where the Country is going, or what the government is actually doing. The total lack of attention that a large part of our fellow citizens pay to important issues infuriates me. The lack of attention has real consequences, it could result in a radical extremist occupying the White House. Oops, too late!

Amen!
