912 Project March on Washington

An event that was largely ignored by the liberal media, avoided by a socialist president who went to Minnesota, trivialized by members of the administration, laughed at by the presidential spokesman, marginalized by liberal political pundits, and underestimated by the Capitol Police, was held in Washington DC and all around the Country on Saturday, September 12.  I was proud to be in the Nation’s capitol for the largest gathering of conservatives in the history of the United States of America.

The Washington Times estimated the crowd at 600,000.  CNN said there were about 50,000.  No matter what the crowd, I was a proud participant with many thousands of others that peacefully demonstrated at the United States Capitol.

The most striking thing that I experienced was the make-up of the crowd.  After hearing the empty rants of the left calling American citizens an “angry mob,” it was great to see exactly who this angry mob was.  The amount of senior citizens and families was amazing.  I would venture to guess that 90% of the people I saw on Saturday have never protested anything in their entire lives.  Here are a couple pictures of the “angry mob”:

This was my first excursion into the life of a demonstrator.  I have always been on the other side of the line.  When policing demonstrations, you are always on the lookout for escalation of emotions that could trigger ugly incidents.  Even though I was in the middle of a huge crowd and could barely move or even get within several hundred yards of the stage, I never felt the slightest hint of any aggressiveness.  The crowd was incredible.  The people were all friendly and respectful.  I was honored to be there with them.

I would ask that if you are concerned about our Country, that you continue to stay informed about the actions of our government.  Support candidates that believe this Country is great.  Candidates that believe in smaller government, lower taxes, and democracy.
