For the second year in a row, I will be travelling to Washington DC for the FreedomWorks 9/12 March on Washington entitled “Remember in November”. This time my son will be going with me. I am looking forward to participating in this event. To be surrounded by so many patriots that realize a terrible mistake has been made with the election of our Socialist President makes you feel all warm inside. I will again post pictures and comments from the march.
This rally and march should energize all freedom loving Americans to go to the polls in November and elect fiscal conservatives that will stop the crushing level of spending that continues to emanate from the Democrat party. If you are able, I would encourage you to attend. You will not be disappointed.
With the primaries over, the campaigns for many important seats are in full swing. I continue to be impressed with Marco Rubio. His depth of knowledge and stance on issues is refreshing. He is running against an empty suit (Meek) and a sore loser (Crist). Charlie said this week that now he supports the healthcare bill and would have voted for it. That isn’t what he said when he was a Republican. It sure looks to me like he will say anything.
Meek should get pummeled in this race. Whoever advised him to give up a Congressional seat he could have held for life gave him terrible advice. I guess it’s back to Wackenhut for Kendrick.
That’s a big number. That is the Unites States’ debt, owned mostly by the Chinese. I would like to thank our Socialist president for spending money like we can print all we want.
What is your share of the debt? About $44,000 for every citizen. The millions of illegal aliens in the Country don’t owe anything, because they don’t pay taxes. They sure do cost money though, through medical, education, and law enforcement expenses, along with many other costs.
I don’t want to completely blame the ultra-liberal Obama administration. The Bush administration also spent too much money, but this extremist has increased the Federal debt by almost $3 Trillion Dollars in 19 months! President Bush increased the deficit by $5 Trillion in 8 years. When this Obama nightmare ends in January 2013, our deficit is anticipated to be $17.4 Trillion. Almost a $7 Trillion increase in four terrible years. That is even before the majority of the costs associated with socialized medicine kick in.
We have to put the Federal government on a diet. They have to be told by the people that pay the bills that they must stop wasting our money. TARP, Stimulus, Government Motors, and all the other wasteful spending must stop. Elect fiscal conservatives to office. Tell the liberal extremists it is not okay to buy votes in congress like they did for Nelson in NE, and Landrieu in LA. We do not have to accept this type of governance. Throw these bums out!
On Wednesday, August 11, 2010, I attended an excellent town hall meeting on Facebook. Marco Rubio was sitting in his house at a computer being peppered with questions from the hundreds of people watching the broadcast. I asked about five questions, but because of the vast number, he didn’t answer any of mine.
The thing I found most interesting and impressive was that Mr. Rubio was answering complex questions about many topics off the top of his head. His knowledge of issues is deep and thoughtful. You can tell he believes what he says and when he speaks, it is with confidence and conviction.
As I watched, I couldn’t help but compare and contrast him to our Socialist President who can’t say good morning without a teleprompter guiding him. One thing that keeps me up at night is remembering that Axelrod and Emmanuel are telling Obama what to say. The communists and ultra-liberals have got to love the fact that Obama will say whatever they type into the teleprompter.
One more thing…I usually don’t comment on local politics, but there was one person I would like to urge you to vote for. Monica Gordo is running for Judge in Miami-Dade County. I worked with her while she was a gang prosecutor in the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office. She would make a great judge and I urge those of you in Miami-Dade to vote for her.
I wake up every day hoping to hear news that Obama was removed from office. To even speak the name “Obama” turns my stomach. Will the ways that he can show his contempt for the ideals our Country was founded upon ever end? His presidency, his administration, and his friends are an embarrassment to the long and storied history our Country enjoys.
The United States of America has made mistakes during our history. I believe our top redeeming quality is that eventually, we try to right our wrongs. Changing minds, laws, and culture is a slow process. We are certainly far from perfect, but risking a comparative argument, we are the best Country in the world. I don’t see the exodus of our citizens and illegal guests to other countries. That being said, what were people thinking when 65 million of them voted for this liberal extremist?
Back to the issue at hand…since 1968, the President of the United States has placed a wreath at the grave at the Tomb of the Unknowns at Arlington National Cemetery the vast majority of the years. Sometimes foreign commitments have kept the Presidents from going to Arlington. This year, a President that is surrounded by liberal extremists has decided it is more important to go on vacation to Chicago than to be at Arlington on Memorial Day. What a weak excuse for missing an important American tradition. Obama will scurry back to Washington to honor that great American hero Paul McCartney. That will be, I’m sure, an important national event that the President is obligated to preside over, unlike the silliness of putting a wreath at a tomb.
Obama is a disgrace as a President. He does not protect this Country, he appeases our enemies, bows to everybody, and apologizes for everything. How bad is he? He is so bad that his presidency makes me long for the good old days of Jimmy Carter.
The Senate race in Florida could be more competitive than it needs to be in November. I wonder when politicians will put the needs of the Country ahead of their own?
Governor Charlie Crist is now 23 percentage points behind former Speaker of the Florida House Marco Rubio, and that race for the nomination appears to be over. Mr. Rubio is picking up endorsements from the heavy hitters in Republican politics recently, and it seems the Governor is reserved to the fact that he has lost the Republican nomination.
But here’s the rub, should the Gov lose the nomination to Rubio, will he run as an independent? I think Governor Crist has been a member of the Republican party for 24 years. That is 24 years of support of his many campaigns, forwarding his policies, and providing a political machine for his ambitions. If he leaves the party and runs as an independent, he may win, but the real hazard is splitting the Republican vote and then we would have the real possibility of having that empty suit Meek as a Senator.
If you look at the polls, both Rubio and Crist whip Meek in a straight up vote. In a three way race, Rubio is still in the lead, but the margin is small. Much too close to risk putting a liberal like Meek into a Senate seat. By the way, what possessed Meek to leave a Congressional seat that would have been his for life? What a bone-head move. More on that later…
Remember the last time we split the Republican vote? Ross Perot ran for President and we ended up with that overly-sexed Clinton. (Thank God he was impeached.) Those people who voted Perot were not going to vote for Clinton. He split the Republican vote and we got Clinton elected by a plurality (another bit of solace).
Governor Crist should run against Speaker Rubio. When that winner is decided, the party should come together to ensure we smoke Meek in the general election. Senator Nelson is up for re-election in 2012, we are going to need a strong candidate for that fight. Either Rubio or Crist can run for that seat. Wouldn’t it be great to have two Republican Senators from Florida?
After multiple bailouts of the auto, banking, insurance, and mortgage industries, the Stimulus Package, and now the assimilation of health care, we are in so much debt, I don’t think we will ever be in the black again. This $938 billion debacle signed by the socialist now occupying the White House may push us off the cliff we have been teetering on.
A trillion here, a trillion there, pretty soon we are talking about real money. We have to stop bleeding money. We need to elect candidates that will enact a law requiring a balanced budget. In an era of limited and diminishing resources, the Federal government needs to be put on a diet. There are priorities that each of us need. The founding fathers did a pretty good job enumerating them in the Constitution. The past Republican administration overspent and that makes me mad. This socialist administration is spending like they own the printing press. They don’t, we do, and until they feel the flex of the American electorate, they will continue to bleed us for every cent they can get.
I truly hope the fervor over this latest spending spree holds over till November. These elected officials are spending our money like drunken sailors and Obama is paying off congressmen like Stupak with our tax money. Did you see that Stupak’s district got almost $1 million in airport grants two days before the vote? Maybe the useless executive order on abortion was not the determining factor in his yes vote. I think it would be good to see what these “servants of the people” have gotten us into.
I am a George W. Bush fan, but he was no fiscal conservative. When he entered office in 2001, the Federal deficit was $5.7 trillion. When he left office in 2010, that number had grown to $10.7 trillion. That is an 88% increase in our debt in eight years. I guess the only thing that kind of lessens the impact of the increase is the use of the majority of the money for post-9/11 security measures. Of course, there were those two wars where we are still spending incredible amounts of money.
Since our current socialist president has taken office, he has put the checkbook to extreme use. We may have an ink shortage soon. Our estimated deficit at the end of this year is $14.5 trillion. How about that, 26% in two years! That’s not the bad news. In 2012, when our socialist president will be thrown out of office, he will leave us with a total debt of $17.4 trillion. That is a 63% increase in debt in only 4 years.
I would now like to thank each of those uninformed 65 million people that voted for “change” for the personal debt of $58.000 for each man, woman, and child in this Country, most of which is owed to the Chinese. This spending has to stop. Support and vote for candidates that will hold the line on spending and this redistribution of wealth.
Did you ever read “Animal Farm” by George Orwell? It seems the current socialist administration is well versed in the tactics of attacking critics of the government. In the book, one of the pigs, Squealer, was tasked with spreading propaganda and rhetoric to consolidate the power of the government and squelch dissenters. Our newest Squealer is Mr. John Brennan, Assistant to the President and Deputy National Security Advisor for Homeland Security and Counterterrorism. Mr. Brennan says that critics of the Obama administration’s handling of terrorist incidents serve the goals of al-Qaeda.
Okay, I guess anyone that has a problem with Janet Napolitano’s assessment that the system worked concerning the attempted terrorist attack on Christmas Day is working for al-Qaeda. How many times must we be insulted by this administration? I have already been labeled and then I self-reported as a right-wing extremist, had my neighbors asked to report on me as someone that is talking negatively about healthcare, (which I also self-reported) and now I am being accused of helping al-Qaeda.
I would encourage you to read Mr. Brennan’s comments. There are many examples of typical liberal elitism condescension. Doesn’t everyone know that this administration knows what is best for us and we should follow direction like good little subjects? He suggests that critics of the administration are hypocrites and clueless. He also says that no one needs to lecture the administration about the fact that this nation is at war.
This administration never ceases to amaze me in their arrogance. They believe that only they know what is good for us. I know that I have zero confidence in this administration’s ability to protect the citizens against attack. They said last week that we would be attacked in the next three to six months. That seems like they have just accepted the fact that the terrorists will be successful. I think it would be a good thing to try and stop that attack. Let’s try to use intelligence resources and the vast Federal law enforcement community to protect us, rather than say…concentrate on reading Miranda Rights to terrorists after a failed attack.
If we survive the next three years, and if the administration allows a vote for President in 2012, I pray that the people of this Country remember that we are not socialists, we do not believe the government can solve all our problems, we are a Country built on principles of freedom and individual rights. Come on 2012.
On Saturday, South Florida Conservatives hosted an impressive group of candidates for national office at a Freedom Forum I. There were four candidates for the House of Representatives, Robert Lowery, Corey Poitier, Edward Lynch, and Bernard Sansaricq, and Marco Rubio, a candidate for the United States Senate.
And then there was a disappointing crowd. I would guess there were about 200 people there. I don’t believe that people didn’t really know about the function. I told about 80 or so people, and it was on the blog several times and was read by hundreds of people in South Florida, and that was just me. So where was everyone? Does the win by Scott Brown in Massachusetts mean we can take a break? That win means we have an opportunity, it is not a foregone conclusion that Republicans will sweep elections in November. We must work for the wins. We cannot assume that this will happen on its own. I encourage each of you to donate money , time, or both to these candidates. Only with our support can they bring some semblance of rationality back to this Country.
Luckily for us in South Florida, there are an excellent group of conservatives that need and deserve your support. Last night I had the opportunity to hear them speak, and then talk to them as they answered questions and just talked to the crowd. I talked to my son about having the opportunity to speak personally with men that would be making the tough decisions about the direction of this Country in the future. It was an incredible experience.
Now on to the candidates…I voted for Charlie Crist for Governor. However, after hearing Speaker Rubio and looking at his platform and what he believes in, I will be supporting him. I have a problem with Governor Crist’s support of Obama’s stimulus bill. I believe the only conservative in the running for Senate from Florida is Speaker Rubio and he is the only one that I believe will stand up for conservative principles in Washington DC. To donate money or time to this campaign, go to http://marcorubio.com.
Mr. Robert Lowry is running against that idiot Debbie Wasserman-Shultz. That should be enough for you to break out your checkbook and give him whatever he wants. Regardless of his opponent, Mr. Lowry is an engaging intelligent man. I spoke to him for several minutes. He seems genuinely concerned for people and spent last week in Haiti helping with the relief effort. To donate money or time to this campaign, go to http://lowryforcongress.com.
Mr. Corey Poitier is a high school government and economics teacher in North Miami. He is running for the seat for some unknown reason vacated by Kendrick Meek. Mr. Poitier spoke about inspiring students and improving education, and being fiscally responsible. He is in a very crowded field and in need of our help. To donate money or time to this campaign, go to http://poitierforcongress.com.
Mr. Edward Lynch also spent the last week in Haiti. It is so inspiring to see leaders go out of their way to help in times of crisis. He talked about one of my favorite topics: Energy Independence. He spoke about the large amounts of money we send to people who don’t even like us, and the fact that we have plenty of oil here, we just need to access it. This would also create thousands of jobs. To donate money or time to this campaign, go to http://electlynch.com.
Last, but certainly not least is Mr. Bernard Sansaricq. This is a man that makes you want to stand up and shout “God Bless America” when he describes why he is running for Congress. Mr. Sansaricq is a former President of the Senate in Haiti. He spent his teen years in America, and after Aristide was placed in power by Clinton, he came back to America and became a citizen. He is an inspiring speaker that is running against that crook and impeached Federal Judge Alcee Hastings. How Hastings continues to get elected is mystifying. Please support Mr. Sansaricq in his race. To donate money or time to this campaign, go to http://sansaricq4congress.org.
Okay, there is my report on Freedom Forum I. Please join me for the next one and support conservative candidates. Together we can affect the direction of this Country. I got this today from a good friend. It is definately worth your time to watch!
I thought it was appropriate that on the one year anniversary of our national catastrophe, we pause to reflect on the direction of this Country. I started to write this blog just 4 months after the inauguration of our socialist President. It didn’t take a clairvoyant to see that the liberal policies of this administration would drive us to the brink of bankruptcy, socialism, and a total break-away from the principles that made this Country great.
As we as a Country were looking into the abyss, one small beacon of light appeared in the Northeast. It wasn’t Scott Brown, he just happened to be the name on the ballot. The true patriots were the people of Massachusetts. Descendents of the people that suffered through the Boston Massacre and stormed British ships to have a giant Tea Party and said NO to taxation without representation, overlooked partisan politics and sent a message to the liberal elites in Washington that even though Democrats outnumber Republicans in the State by a 3 to 1 margin, a Republican was elected as a Senator.
This is an important day. We should look back and resolve that we will not let the media force feed us a candidate by censoring information for their own liberal agendas. It makes me feel all warm inside that we can count on the American people to see through the spin, half-truths, and outlandish campaign rhetoric. The people of Massachusetts reminded the elected officials that they work for us. This should make Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, and the rest of the Democrat party shake in their boots.
I never thought I would ever have these words come out of the end of my fingers…thanks to the people of Massachusetts for slowing down the march toward socialism. Thanks for standing up and saying no to big government, high taxes, and government takeovers. God Bless You.
In this current era of a grumpy electorate, of which I am a proud member, it is the little hints of elitism that go mostly unnoticed that burn me up. The most recent example from the Democrat Party is the sense of entitlement to a Senate seat in Massachusetts. I have seen many articles this week denouncing the fact that, God forbid, a Republican may win Ted Kennedy’s Seat! You remember Teddy, right? If you are to believe the Democrats and the disbelieving media, that “pillar of virtue’s” seat has no business being occupied by a Republican.
Here are a few statistics for your information. I know you will never hear them from the media, because remember, that seat belongs to the Kennedys. The State of Massachusetts has had 46 Senators in their history. Guess which party has had the most? Republicans at 16. There have been 15 Federalists, 9 Whigs, and bringing up the rear, Democrats with 6. I know what you are saying…Teddy was there for more than 40 years, that has to be worth something. Not to confuse my liberal friends with facts, let’s look at years in office. If you add up all the years of both seats in the Senate, there have been 377 years of service from Senators in MA. Guess who has the most, yep, Republicans, 192 years, or 51% of the time. Next in line are those Democrats with 32%. Federalists had 10% and Whigs had 8%. It doesn’t really seem like Teddy’s or even a Democrat’s seat to me.
The Republican that dares to infiltrate the sacred seat is Scott Brown. As far as the Democrats and an incredulous group of liberal media are concerned, no Republican is worthy of being a Senator from MA. It mystifies them that Lt. Colonel and State Senator Brown is actually ahead by 3 points in the most recent polls.
To his credit, Mr. Brown reminded the members of the media and the Democrat party that the vacant Senate seat actually belongs to the people of MA, not the Kennedy mob. The liberal media doesn’t seem to understand that the American people are upset. Even the traditionally liberal voters of MA can see that the socialist policies of this current administration will lead us to destruction, or at least bankruptcy.
If Mr. Brown does win Tuesday, there may be a chance to stop the government takeover of the healthcare system. If you live in MA, make sure you vote Tuesday. If you can support the campaign with a donation, I urge you to help. Here’s a link to Mr. Brown’s web site: http://www.brownforussenate.com
Lets show the media, liberal Congress members, and our socialist President what is in store for them come November.
Obamacare is doomed. The whiner in chief is out and about bashing the Supreme Court. Kagan must have tipped him off. Sent 1 month ago
It is amazing how everyone forgets Obama had a Dem House and Senate for 2 years. That is why we have so much bad law. Obamacare, etc. Sent 4 months ago
I really think Obama does not believe this is a great Country. I can't wait until he is gone on January 20, 2013. Sent 4 months ago

In 2012, both Groundhog Day and the State of the Union address will occur on the same day. This is an ironic juxtaposition of events. Sent 5 months ago
