We Are Not a Third Party

September 16, 2010

I still blame millionaire Ross Perot for Bill Clinton.  Perot spent millions of his own money in a failed campaign for the Presidency.  Perot was (still is?) a conservative and the votes he got would have been cast for George H. W. Bush.  By splitting the Republican vote, the Country got stuck with Bill Clinton who won the election by a plurality.

I have heard a lot of talk about “Tea Party Candidates” that are splitting the votes and causing havoc in the Republican Party.  The people talking about the Tea Party like they are outsiders are mistaken.  The vast majority of us that identify ourselves as members of the Tea Party are Republicans.  We just happen to be more conservative than the recent leadership of the party.

In the November election, there won’t be three candidates in most of these critical races.  The Republican will simply be a more conservative Republican.  The fact that a candidate identified themselves with the Tea Party movement only means they are not RINOs.  The Tea Party candidate won the Republican nomination and eliminated the establishment backed candidate in the primary.

The Republican leadership seems taken aback that conservative candidates are beating the Party backed candidate.  We do not need to elect Republicans who vote like Democrats, or will be out there selling the tax payers down the river so they can “reach across the aisle.”  We don’t like liberal policies, and conservative members of Congress that identify themselves with the Tea Party will help stop the insane spending that is going on in Washington.

Speaking of three candidates on the ballot…Republican Marco Rubio has opened a 9.8 point lead over a flip flopping used to be a Republican but couldn’t accept defeat Crist.  Meek is so far back that he already updated his resume.  I’m sure Obama will make him the Czar of something.  Please support the Marco Rubio campaign.  Visit his website (http:marcorubio.com) and support a true conservative.  Marco Rubio will be a great advocate for conservatives, a defender of freedom, and the American way of life… things that are currently under attack in this Country.

A Good Day For A Walk

September 1, 2010

For the second year in a row, I will be travelling to Washington DC for the FreedomWorks 9/12 March on Washington entitled “Remember in November”.  This time my son will be going with me.  I am looking forward to participating in this event.  To be surrounded by so many patriots that realize a terrible mistake has been made with the election of our Socialist President makes you feel all warm inside.  I will again post pictures and comments from the march.

This rally and march should energize all freedom loving Americans to go to the polls in November and elect fiscal conservatives that will stop the crushing level of spending that continues to emanate from the Democrat party.  If you are able, I would encourage you to attend.  You will not be disappointed.

With the primaries over, the campaigns for many important seats are in full swing.  I continue to be impressed with Marco Rubio.  His depth of knowledge and stance on issues is refreshing.  He is running against an empty suit (Meek) and a sore loser (Crist).  Charlie said this week that now he supports the healthcare bill and would have voted for it.  That isn’t what he said when he was a Republican.  It sure looks to me like he will say anything.

Meek should get pummeled in this race.  Whoever advised him to give up a Congressional seat he could have held for life gave him terrible advice.  I guess it’s back to Wackenhut for Kendrick.

A Tale of Two Protests

September 26, 2009

Have you seen the coverage of the G-20 protests in Pittsburgh?  What strikes me is the difference between that protest and the 912 Project protest in Washington DC.  Most people in the Country did not even know a protest was held in the Nation’s capital on 9/12/09 because of a dismissive and liberal media.

In Pittsburgh, the G-20 met, which brought with it the usual gang of anti-American, anti-democratic, environmentalist wackos that are attracted to every event meant to develop trade or capitalism.  In the pictures you will see the same anarchists, anti-war groups, and extremist environmentalists that were in Miami when we had the FTAA meetings.  They are a pathetic group.

So, who are the demonstrators in these two marches?

Who was called an angry mob, right wing extremists, racists, and radicals by Congressional Leaders and liberal media members?

The 912 Project protestors.  Incredible.

912 Project March on Washington DC

An event that was largely ignored by the liberal media, avoided by a socialist president who went to Minnesota, trivialized by members of the administration, laughed at by the presidential spokesman, marginalized by liberal political pundits, and underestimated by the Capitol Police, was held in Washington DC and all around the Country on Saturday, September 12.  I was proud to be in the Nation’s capitol for the largest gathering of conservatives in the history of the United States of America.

The Washington Times estimated the crowd at 600,000.  CNN said there were about 50,000.  No matter what the crowd, I was a proud participant with many thousands of others that peacefully demonstrated at the United States Capitol.

The most striking thing that I experienced was the make-up of the crowd.  After hearing the empty rants of the left calling American citizens an “angry mob,” it was great to see exactly who this angry mob was.  The amount of senior citizens and families was amazing.  I would venture to guess that 90% of the people I saw on Saturday have never protested anything in their entire lives.  Here are a couple pictures of the “angry mob”:

This was my first excursion into the life of a demonstrator.  I have always been on the other side of the line.  When policing demonstrations, you are always on the lookout for escalation of emotions that could trigger ugly incidents.  Even though I was in the middle of a huge crowd and could barely move or even get within several hundred yards of the stage, I never felt the slightest hint of any aggressiveness.  The crowd was incredible.  The people were all friendly and respectful.  I was honored to be there with them.

I would ask that if you are concerned about our Country, that you continue to stay informed about the actions of our government.  Support candidates that believe this Country is great.  Candidates that believe in smaller government, lower taxes, and democracy.

Marching in Washington DC

September 9, 2009

elections have consequences

For the first time in my life, I am going to demonstrate for a cause.  I, along with two friends from work, am going to Washington DC this weekend to participate in the 912 Project March on the Capitol.

I never thought it would come to this.  I never imagined the leadership of this Country would take such a huge turn toward socialism in such a short period of time.  It is astonishing that people who believe in individual freedom, democracy, and capitalism have to march and demonstrate to remind elected officials of the tenets the United States was established on.

The liberal media will probably dismiss this action by saying the participants are being bussed in by the GOP, or maybe the vast right-wing conspiracy is just a bunch of hateful hicks.  Well, whatever they say, I know why I am going.  I believe in small government, the free enterprise system, hard work, and the freedom to live without unnecessary government interference in my life.  I believe there are many millions of people who believe as I do.  I hope this socialist administration realizes that they are charged with protecting all Americans, not just the misguided 65 million that voted for this “change.”

So we are marching on Saturday.  If you are near DC, come on out.  I’m sure there will be a few of us there!
