34% ≠ 80%

July 15, 2011

Hello Everyone!

This summer we spent a couple of weeks in the northeast looking at schools for my son, and then we spent a week at Disney.  It is good to be home.  Now it is time to get to work and ensure that our socialist President is a one-termer!

Have you been watching the debt ceiling fight?  Obama wants to keep driving up the debt and even a few RINOs in Congress seem to want to help him.  I thik it is interesting that every Democrat senator voted against increasing the debt ceiling in 2006…including Senator Obama!  I think the American people are ready to seriously cut spending to get the debt under control.  Obama wants higher taxes.  Isn’t that a shocking revelation?  A socialist wants more of your tax money to pay for unnecessary, and probably unconstitutional, government programs, like Obamacare.

That is not really news, but what I found interesting is the argument Obama is making to raise taxes.  Obama said that 80% of Americans support raising taxes to deal with the debt.  Ummm…I don’t think so, but let’s look at actual survey results.  It turns out that Rasmussen Reports (no relation to this writer) did a survey on this question and only 34% of people support raising taxes.  How did the community activist get this so wrong?  I wonder if a staff member had the chart upside down?

Small business is where the jobs are in this Country.  If you encourage the growth of small business more people will get to work.  The outrageous unemployment rate will come down, and more people will be paying taxes instead of collecting benefits.  Recently  Obama said he  doesn’t believe I am smart enough to understand economics, but I do understand that 80% does not equal 34%.

The Next Two Years

February 24, 2011

I have been a little lazy for the past couple of months when it comes to writing in my blog.  Since the Democrat party was smacked around in November, there hasn’t been a lot coming out of Washington to get fired up about.  I always say that I think I write better and more passionately when I’m pissed off.

I have heard many people say that with a split Congress we will have gridlock.  All I have to say about that is Thank God!  The last two years have been a bacchanalia of spending that had to be stopped.  With Reid, Pelosi, and Obama, incredible amounts of money was spent for ridiculous programs without opposition.  We got socialized medicine, government motors, and many more horrible laws that tried to turn us into good little socialists.

The American people sent a strong message.  We are not a left leaning Country.  We treasure personal freedom and small government.  With a Republican House, our socialist President will be forced to move to the center to get anything accomplished.  His abomination of a presidency is more than half over.  Another reason to thank God.

In the next few months, the contenders for the Republican nomination for President will make themselves known.  I hope a true conservative moves forward to take the lead.  I’m sure I will have much to write about as the candidates are vetted.  I doubt our party will nominate a candidate that was brought into politics by a terrorist (Bill Ayers), has no job history other than a community organizer, and believes that America is evil so he has to go on a world tour to apologize for us.  And I thought Jimmy Carter was a horrible President.

$14,025,215,218,708.52

January 3, 2011

Happy New Year everyone.  I pray that you have a wonderful and prosperous new year.  Millions of capitalists are counting on you!

Unfortunately, the bad news keeps coming with Obama at the helm…the U.S. Treasury reported that as of the last day of 2010, the National Debt stood at $14,025,215,218,708.52.  It took only 7 months for the National Debt to increase from $13 trillion to over $14 trillion on Dec. 31.

This is a national crisis that has to be dealt with immediately.  Repealling socalized medicine is a good start.  We have to cut spending.  I have seen many liberals writing about “gridlock”, but if that gridlock means we put a stop to this socialist administration’s policies, I’m all for it.  With this socialist in the White House, $20 trillion in debt cant be that far away.

Update:  Here is a stat I saw today, very telling.

In the 1,461 days that Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D.-Calif.) served as speaker of the House, the national debt increased by a total of $5.343 trillion ($5,343,452,800,321.37) or $3.66 billion per day ($3.657,394,113.84), according to official debt numbers published by the U.S. Treasury.

$938 Billion

March 23, 2010

After multiple bailouts of the auto, banking, insurance, and mortgage industries, the Stimulus Package, and now the assimilation of health care, we are in so much debt, I don’t think we will ever be in the black again.  This $938 billion debacle signed by the socialist now occupying the White House may push us off the cliff we have been teetering on.

A trillion here, a trillion there, pretty soon we are talking about real money.  We have to stop bleeding money.  We need to elect candidates that will enact a law requiring a balanced budget.  In an era of limited and diminishing resources, the Federal government needs to be put on a diet.  There are priorities that each of us need.  The founding fathers did a pretty good job enumerating them in the Constitution.  The past Republican administration overspent and that makes me mad.  This socialist administration is spending like they own the printing press.  They don’t, we do, and until they feel the flex of the American electorate, they will continue to bleed us for every cent they can get.

I truly hope the fervor over this latest spending spree holds over till November.  These elected officials are spending our money like drunken sailors and Obama is paying off congressmen like Stupak with our tax money.  Did you see that Stupak’s district got almost $1 million in airport grants two days before the vote?  Maybe the useless executive order on abortion was not the determining factor in his yes vote.  I think it would be good to see what these “servants of the people” have gotten us into.

I am a George W. Bush fan, but he was no fiscal conservative.  When he entered office in 2001, the Federal deficit was $5.7 trillion.  When he left office in 2010, that number had grown to $10.7 trillion.  That is an 88% increase in our debt in eight years.  I guess the only thing that kind of lessens the impact of the increase is the use of the majority of the money for post-9/11 security measures.  Of course, there were those two wars where we are still spending incredible amounts of money.

Since our current socialist president has taken office, he has put the checkbook to extreme use.  We may have an ink shortage soon.  Our estimated deficit at the end of this year is $14.5 trillion.  How about that, 26% in two years!  That’s not the bad news.  In 2012, when our socialist president will be thrown out of office, he will leave us with a total debt of $17.4 trillion.  That is a 63% increase in debt in only 4 years.

I would now like to thank each of those uninformed 65 million people that voted for “change” for the personal debt of $58.000 for each man, woman, and child in this Country, most of which is owed to the Chinese.  This spending has to stop.  Support and vote for candidates that will hold the line on spending and this redistribution of wealth.

Let’s Catch Up!!

November 10, 2009

DUCK

It has been a couple of crazy weeks around the house, so I have not been able to write.  There has been much going on in our almost socialist Country since President Obama got his fake Nobel, so let’s spend a few minutes catching up…

A tragedy that is both devastating and infuriating is the attack of unarmed American soldiers at Fort Hood.  My heart, prayers, and sympathies go out to the families of the patriots killed and wounded in the attack.  May God grant you the comfort that only He can.  In hard times like these, lean on the Lord and He will provide comfort to the inconsolable.

Now to the issues that really make me mad about the information released on the incident.  Shortly after the first reports of the attack, we heard that the FBI stated this is not a terrorist event.  Why in the world would they say that?  There is NO WAY they could possibly know that so soon after the attack.  Now it turns out that the shooter was under investigation for 6 months and tried to contact Al Qaeda.  My local fish-wrapper, The Miami Herald, posted a poll today asking readers if the government should investigate if the attack was a terrorist incident.  Can you believe that?  What an insane question.  I guess we should just wonder if there is a coordinated plot to kill Americans.  Thankfully, brave police officers responded and shot this low life.  I’m sure he will be hanged as a traitor soon.  Military justice moves much more quickly than civilian courts.

Secondly, the elections in New Jersey and Virginia were ignored or dismissed by several members of the head socialist’s administration.  I guess a Republican Governor in New Jersey is no big deal.  I’m sure I saw Obama campaign for Corzine, but just like the begging for the Olympics, Obama could not bring home the prize.  The good people of Virginia also gave us some hope for a massacre of the liberals in November 2010 by sweeping the Governor, Lieutenant Governor, and Attorney General offices for the Republicans.  We have to keep the pressure up and continue this momentum into the election.

Lastly, the ultra-liberal House of Representatives led by the extremist from San Francisco passed a socialized medicine bill over the weekend continuing our march to being good little communists.  The vote was very close, but I’m sure the results were negotiated to protect Democrats in conservative states.  Check your Representative to see if he/she voted for this debacle.  Remember that in November.  Now the Senate takes up the question.  Let your Senators know your feelings.  I believe the Senate will not pass a bill as radical as the House’s, but we need to make our feelings known.

Rally to stop socialized medicine!  Stop giving away freedoms.  The Federal government already owns car manufacturers, banks, investment firms, insurance companies, and mortgage lenders.  Don’t give them 1/6th of the U.S economy.
