Obama Skips Arlington

May 29, 2010

I wake up every day hoping to hear news that Obama was removed from office.  To even speak the name “Obama” turns my stomach.  Will the ways that he can show his contempt for the ideals our Country was founded upon ever end?  His presidency, his administration, and his friends are an embarrassment to the long and storied history our Country enjoys.

The United States of America has made mistakes during our history.  I believe our top redeeming quality is that eventually, we try to right our wrongs.  Changing minds, laws, and culture is a slow process.  We are certainly far from perfect, but risking a comparative argument, we are the best Country in the world.  I don’t see the exodus of our citizens and illegal guests to other countries.  That being said, what were people thinking when 65 million of them voted for this liberal extremist?

Back to the issue at hand…since 1968, the President of the United States has placed a wreath at the grave at the Tomb of the Unknowns at Arlington National Cemetery the vast majority of the years.  Sometimes foreign commitments have kept the Presidents from going to Arlington.  This year, a President that is surrounded by liberal extremists has decided it is more important to go on vacation to Chicago than to be at Arlington on Memorial Day.  What a weak excuse for missing an important American tradition.  Obama will scurry back to Washington to honor that great American hero Paul McCartney.  That will be, I’m sure, an important national event that the President is obligated to preside over, unlike the silliness of putting a wreath at a tomb.

Obama is a disgrace as a President.  He does not protect this Country, he appeases our enemies, bows to everybody, and apologizes for everything.  How bad is he? He is so bad that his presidency makes me long for the good old days of Jimmy Carter.

1 Year and Counting!

May 22, 2010

On May 22, 2009, I published my first blog.  It only took four months of living under the rule of our current President to motivate me to become more active in politics.  This has been an interesting year.  It has also been an education.  (I never thought I would participate in a demonstration.)

I started writing a blog because I hate the direction our Country is going.  The liberal agenda is contrary to the vast majority of principles this Country was founded upon, and contrary to the majority opinion.  In writing the articles, I have had to think about what I believe, and competently defend conservative stances.  The background research done on each entry has assisted me in clarifying the issues in my own thought process.  It has made me a better debater and has also focused my arguments to be more persuasive.

One thing that has surprised me is how hostile and divided the opposite ends of the political spectrum are.  I have been called every name in the book.  I usually do not allow those filthy comments to be posted.  I also realize that I frequently am sarcastic, demeaning, and hostile toward those idiot liberals (oops, sorry) that believe they have some special knowledge or insight on how my life should be lived.  My friends know that I always seem to write more passionately when Obama does something that really irritates me, like calling me a right-wing extremist.  I have to say that I do enjoy writing angry and I try to illicit emotional responses from others, both for and against me.

Thank you for reading my blog this year.  Thousands of people have visited the site and hundreds have left comments.  This is my 40th post.  There have been times when there is so much to write about it is a little overwhelming, and then there have been weeks where I haven’t felt the motivation to write.  I would also like to thank the guys from work for the spirited discussions that have been the impetus for many of the posts.

I hope to keep writing for many years to come.  Unfortunately with Obama and his hoard of extremists, I should have an almost infinite amount of material to keep me busy.

How Do You Spend Your Money?

March 14, 2010

I believe in the free market system.  I am a capitalist that believes if you can’t compete, you should be allowed to fail.  With our current socialist president, we now own all kinds of businesses we shouldn’t.  We have propped up businesses that should have gone bankrupt.  There is a price to pay for bad business decisions like exorbitant salaries, inadequate loan application evaluation, or inferior product design.

You and I could not do anything about the recent rash of government bailouts, except remind those representatives who voted for them that they will be out of work come election day.  There is a group that we, as capitalists, can affect through our spending habits.  Entertainers!  I don’t sign up for boycotts, I don’t carry the flag around.  I simply refuse to give money to people that, in my opinion, are un-American, extreme liberals, or just plain jerks.  Why should I spend money for people I consider to be idiots to perpetuate their lifestyles?

I get teased at work once in a while because of my refusal to patronize certain stores, or watch certain movies because of who is in it or who is producing it, etc.  I often say the list is long but distinguished.  People like Sean Penn, Alec Baldwin, George Soros, Michael Moore, Keith Olberman, Morgan Freeman, and Tim Robbins turn my stomach.  Why would anyone think it was funny that I refuse to give them my money to continue bad mouthing the Country that made them rich.  I usually don’t join Facebook groups, but I did join this one:  Americans Against Anti-American Actors and Artists.

I am always disappointed by the paparazzi society we live in.  The hero worship of superficial puddle deep celebrities keep us from actually paying attention to important issues like where the Country is going, or what the government is actually doing.  The total lack of attention that a large part of our fellow citizens pay to important issues infuriates me.  The lack of attention has real consequences, it could result in a radical extremist occupying the White House.  Oops, too late!

Never Give Up, Never Surrender!

Winston Churchill

One of my favorite people to quote is Sir Winston Churchill.  He said many wonderful things at a time when his Country needed assurance.  Unfortunately, we in this Country need assurance that our way of life can be maintained.  Assurance that our elected representatives will protect our rights of free speech, freedom of religion, and innumerable other rights that too many of us take for granted.  There are many special interest groups, Congressmen and women, Executive branch appointed extremists, and one socialist President that would love to stomp out peaceful dissent.

Churchill could not be dissuaded from victory.  He gave inspiring speeches that contained quotes like:

“Never, never, never give up” and

“One ought never to turn one’s back on a threatened danger and try to run away from it. If you do that, you will double the danger. But if you meet it promptly and without flinching, you will reduce the danger by half. Never run away from anything.  Never!”

Unfortunately, the Santa Rosa School District in the Florida Panhandle didn’t listen to Churchill.  When faced with mounting legal bills several years ago concerning an ongoing suit from the ultra-liberal ACLU, the school system signed a letter saying that none of their employees would participate in any kind of prayer.

Now, because they tapped out and buckled under to extremists, several school staff members are facing a CRIMINAL complaint and possible incarceration for praying.  How could you enter this deal with the devil?  How do you let liberal extremists dictate to you how to exercise your constitutional rights?  The “heinous crime” occurred after school hours, at a luncheon not involving students and at an awards banquet where a prayer was spoken by a private citizen, not a school employee.

These criminal contempt charges should be a huge wake-up call to all of us.  Never sign away your rights.  Never give up the fight for what is right.  Never let the liberal extremists bully you into cowering away from a fight.  The ACLU does not represent what makes this Country great.  They are advocates for extremists, like most of the President’s administration.  If you prefer a movie quote, go with “Never Give Up, Never Surrender” from Galaxy Quest.  I offer that one if you don’t know who Winston Churchill is!

Report Conservatives Now!

Protest

This week our Socialist President and the Democrat Party really outdid themselves moving America to a Country oppressed into silence.  First the DNC put out an e-mail blasting American citizens voicing their concerns about socialized medicine.  Here is a portion of the message:

The right wing extremists’ use of things like devil horns on pictures of our elected officials, hanging members of Congress in effigy, breathlessly questioning the President’s citizenship and the use of Nazi SS symbols and the like just shows how outside of the mainstream the Republican Party and their allies are. This type of anger and discord did not serve Republicans well in 2008 – and it is bound to backfire again.

You can read the full message at: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2310766/posts

Unlike some of my liberal friends, I wanted to see what these angry mobs looked like.  So I found a video of an angry mob having the audacity to question the savior’s healthcare plan:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GYl6KQpHCkc

They look terrifying, don’t they?  Roving bands of stark raving mad, mob rule right-wing extremists.  NOT!

I seem to remember just a couple of years ago, it was the position of the Democrat party that the highest form of patriotism was the voicing of dissent.  Here is a quote from a great leader in the Democrat party, Senator John Kerry, from a speech in April, 2006:

“I have come here today to reaffirm that it was right to dissent in 1971 from a war that was wrong. And to affirm that it is both a right and an obligation for Americans today to disagree with a President who is wrong, a policy that is wrong, and a war in Iraq that weakens the nation.”

Now we have the Democrats in the White House.  I guess the highly touted patriotic duty of people to dissent has vanished.  It is no longer convenient for the Democrats because they happen to be the ones making the policies.  In communist countries, people are encouraged and even employed to inform on their neighbors to the government.  I know this because it happened to my wife as she was growing up in Cuba.  Our socialist president needs you to inform on fellow citizens if you believe they are spreading mis-information concerning the savior’s healthcare plan.  Send an e-mail to flag@whitehouse.gov to report on your neighborhood conservative.  To save all the people that watch me the trouble, I self reported my actions to the government by sending the following e-mail:

Greetings Mr. President,

I saw the report where you are seeking information on persons who are providing mis-information on your proposal for universal healthcare.  I have knowledge of many people undermining the people of this Country.  Unfortunately, most of the names I know are part of your administration.

For the second time in just 200 days, your administration has labeled people that disagree with your socialist tendencies as right-wing extremists.  With my extensive math skills, that is one slur every 100 days.  Hopefully you will only be a one term president, so using those previously described math skills, I will only have to endure about 12 more of your insulting and condescending remarks.

As I believe I am already on your list as a right-wing God fearing conservative, I find your efforts to create another watch list of right-wing conservatives duplicative.  However, just in case one of your un-elected, non-accountable czars needs something to do, go ahead and add me to your new list of people who believe your socialist policy of universal healthcare is detrimental to this Country.

We are on the cusp of losing the Country we have come to recognize as the USA.  The last world power, the Country where freedom is cherished and the people are actually in control.  Join me in expressing your displeasure with this policy of creating hit lists of American citizens who are excercising their constitutional rights of free speech.

Cows Have Rights Too!

cows

Many Presidents have had Czars.  Unfortunately, President Obama has taken the appointment of these policy area specialists to a new level. Obama has 16 different “Czars” in his administration.

Why should you care about this?  These non-elected and non-confirmed assistants have a lot to say about how the administration operates.  Obama has placed them above Cabinet positions in the hierarchy.  With most administrations, I wouldn’t care too much who the “Czar of Everything that Begins with the Letter H” was, but with our current socialist, we have to be ever vigilant concerning the extreme leftists giving advice.

CSunstein

We certainly would not see any of the socialist’s Czars not confirmed by the current Senate, but at least there would be some kind of vetting process.  This brings me to the one Czar I would like to bring to your attention…Regulatory czar Cass Sunstein.  Do yourself a favor, Google this man.  If you are having a bad day, the hysterical beliefs of this gentleman will cause you to bust out laughing and you will feel much better.

Oops!  I forgot, he is now in a position to give advice to the President of the United States of America.  I guess it’s not that funny after all.  Mr. Sunstein is no doubt very smart.  He is a part time law professor at Harvard, he has written several books on constitutional law, and believes animals should have the right to bring suit against their human oppressors.  Wait a minute, did I read that right?  Yep, I re-checked the biography, he’s that radical.  Sunstein thinks we should ban hunting, allow animals to bring lawsuits, and we should grant animals standing to protect their own rights and interests.

So there is a nut in the inner circle.  Here is a glaring example of the friends our socialist President has and who he thinks has the vision to move our Country on to this wonderful “Change.”  I don’t think that most of the 65 million citizens who voted for this socialist thought the end result would be getting sued by your steak.  Although, most of his supporters are probably vegetarians.  I wonder if Sunstein will bring a class action against them for abusing heads of lettuce.
