The Senate race in Florida could be more competitive than it needs to be in November. I wonder when politicians will put the needs of the Country ahead of their own?
Governor Charlie Crist is now 23 percentage points behind former Speaker of the Florida House Marco Rubio, and that race for the nomination appears to be over. Mr. Rubio is picking up endorsements from the heavy hitters in Republican politics recently, and it seems the Governor is reserved to the fact that he has lost the Republican nomination.
But here’s the rub, should the Gov lose the nomination to Rubio, will he run as an independent? I think Governor Crist has been a member of the Republican party for 24 years. That is 24 years of support of his many campaigns, forwarding his policies, and providing a political machine for his ambitions. If he leaves the party and runs as an independent, he may win, but the real hazard is splitting the Republican vote and then we would have the real possibility of having that empty suit Meek as a Senator.
If you look at the polls, both Rubio and Crist whip Meek in a straight up vote. In a three way race, Rubio is still in the lead, but the margin is small. Much too close to risk putting a liberal like Meek into a Senate seat. By the way, what possessed Meek to leave a Congressional seat that would have been his for life? What a bone-head move. More on that later…
Remember the last time we split the Republican vote? Ross Perot ran for President and we ended up with that overly-sexed Clinton. (Thank God he was impeached.) Those people who voted Perot were not going to vote for Clinton. He split the Republican vote and we got Clinton elected by a plurality (another bit of solace).
Governor Crist should run against Speaker Rubio. When that winner is decided, the party should come together to ensure we smoke Meek in the general election. Senator Nelson is up for re-election in 2012, we are going to need a strong candidate for that fight. Either Rubio or Crist can run for that seat. Wouldn’t it be great to have two Republican Senators from Florida?
On Saturday, South Florida Conservatives hosted an impressive group of candidates for national office at a Freedom Forum I. There were four candidates for the House of Representatives, Robert Lowery, Corey Poitier, Edward Lynch, and Bernard Sansaricq, and Marco Rubio, a candidate for the United States Senate.
And then there was a disappointing crowd. I would guess there were about 200 people there. I don’t believe that people didn’t really know about the function. I told about 80 or so people, and it was on the blog several times and was read by hundreds of people in South Florida, and that was just me. So where was everyone? Does the win by Scott Brown in Massachusetts mean we can take a break? That win means we have an opportunity, it is not a foregone conclusion that Republicans will sweep elections in November. We must work for the wins. We cannot assume that this will happen on its own. I encourage each of you to donate money , time, or both to these candidates. Only with our support can they bring some semblance of rationality back to this Country.
Luckily for us in South Florida, there are an excellent group of conservatives that need and deserve your support. Last night I had the opportunity to hear them speak, and then talk to them as they answered questions and just talked to the crowd. I talked to my son about having the opportunity to speak personally with men that would be making the tough decisions about the direction of this Country in the future. It was an incredible experience.
Now on to the candidates…I voted for Charlie Crist for Governor. However, after hearing Speaker Rubio and looking at his platform and what he believes in, I will be supporting him. I have a problem with Governor Crist’s support of Obama’s stimulus bill. I believe the only conservative in the running for Senate from Florida is Speaker Rubio and he is the only one that I believe will stand up for conservative principles in Washington DC. To donate money or time to this campaign, go to http://marcorubio.com.
Mr. Robert Lowry is running against that idiot Debbie Wasserman-Shultz. That should be enough for you to break out your checkbook and give him whatever he wants. Regardless of his opponent, Mr. Lowry is an engaging intelligent man. I spoke to him for several minutes. He seems genuinely concerned for people and spent last week in Haiti helping with the relief effort. To donate money or time to this campaign, go to http://lowryforcongress.com.
Mr. Corey Poitier is a high school government and economics teacher in North Miami. He is running for the seat for some unknown reason vacated by Kendrick Meek. Mr. Poitier spoke about inspiring students and improving education, and being fiscally responsible. He is in a very crowded field and in need of our help. To donate money or time to this campaign, go to http://poitierforcongress.com.
Mr. Edward Lynch also spent the last week in Haiti. It is so inspiring to see leaders go out of their way to help in times of crisis. He talked about one of my favorite topics: Energy Independence. He spoke about the large amounts of money we send to people who don’t even like us, and the fact that we have plenty of oil here, we just need to access it. This would also create thousands of jobs. To donate money or time to this campaign, go to http://electlynch.com.
Last, but certainly not least is Mr. Bernard Sansaricq. This is a man that makes you want to stand up and shout “God Bless America” when he describes why he is running for Congress. Mr. Sansaricq is a former President of the Senate in Haiti. He spent his teen years in America, and after Aristide was placed in power by Clinton, he came back to America and became a citizen. He is an inspiring speaker that is running against that crook and impeached Federal Judge Alcee Hastings. How Hastings continues to get elected is mystifying. Please support Mr. Sansaricq in his race. To donate money or time to this campaign, go to http://sansaricq4congress.org.
Okay, there is my report on Freedom Forum I. Please join me for the next one and support conservative candidates. Together we can affect the direction of this Country. I got this today from a good friend. It is definately worth your time to watch!
In this current era of a grumpy electorate, of which I am a proud member, it is the little hints of elitism that go mostly unnoticed that burn me up. The most recent example from the Democrat Party is the sense of entitlement to a Senate seat in Massachusetts. I have seen many articles this week denouncing the fact that, God forbid, a Republican may win Ted Kennedy’s Seat! You remember Teddy, right? If you are to believe the Democrats and the disbelieving media, that “pillar of virtue’s” seat has no business being occupied by a Republican.
Here are a few statistics for your information. I know you will never hear them from the media, because remember, that seat belongs to the Kennedys. The State of Massachusetts has had 46 Senators in their history. Guess which party has had the most? Republicans at 16. There have been 15 Federalists, 9 Whigs, and bringing up the rear, Democrats with 6. I know what you are saying…Teddy was there for more than 40 years, that has to be worth something. Not to confuse my liberal friends with facts, let’s look at years in office. If you add up all the years of both seats in the Senate, there have been 377 years of service from Senators in MA. Guess who has the most, yep, Republicans, 192 years, or 51% of the time. Next in line are those Democrats with 32%. Federalists had 10% and Whigs had 8%. It doesn’t really seem like Teddy’s or even a Democrat’s seat to me.
The Republican that dares to infiltrate the sacred seat is Scott Brown. As far as the Democrats and an incredulous group of liberal media are concerned, no Republican is worthy of being a Senator from MA. It mystifies them that Lt. Colonel and State Senator Brown is actually ahead by 3 points in the most recent polls.
To his credit, Mr. Brown reminded the members of the media and the Democrat party that the vacant Senate seat actually belongs to the people of MA, not the Kennedy mob. The liberal media doesn’t seem to understand that the American people are upset. Even the traditionally liberal voters of MA can see that the socialist policies of this current administration will lead us to destruction, or at least bankruptcy.
If Mr. Brown does win Tuesday, there may be a chance to stop the government takeover of the healthcare system. If you live in MA, make sure you vote Tuesday. If you can support the campaign with a donation, I urge you to help. Here’s a link to Mr. Brown’s web site: http://www.brownforussenate.com
Lets show the media, liberal Congress members, and our socialist President what is in store for them come November.
Happy New Year everyone! May God bless you and your families this year.
I am glad 2009 is over. It was just a terrible year for our Country. Many people lost jobs, a great number of houses were foreclosed, and several terrorist attacks killed hard working people that were completely innocent. Many members of the armed forces also lost their lives defending us in far away lands.
I thank God every day that we have citizens who raise their hands and volunteer to put themselves in harm’s way. The all volunteer armed forces continue to amaze me with their dedication to freedom and selfless acts to promote democracy throughout the world.
The year 2009 will also be forever imprinted on my mind because we inaugurated a socialist president knowing full well he was incapable of governing. This administration has been a total failure. Unemployment skyrocketed, terrorists have been given rights in unprecedented situations, conservatives have been labeled as right wing extremists, and the list continues to grow. Did you see that Interpol now does not have to be subject to any American law enforcement oversight?
Well, it’s 2010. You have it in your power to stop this march toward socialism. You have the say in which direction this Country goes. The vote on every member of the House of Representatives and one third of the Senate is only 11 months away. It is up to each one of us that believe the government is not the answer to all our problems to get out and vote, and support candidates that believe in less government and lower taxes. If you have the financial resources, give money to help like minded candidates. If you have time, work on a political campaign.
The holidays are over. It’s time to get to work to change the path of America. Here is an opportunity for those of you in South Florida. The South Florida Conservatives are hosting a candidate forum at the Doubletree Miami Mart on January 23, 2010, at 5:00 p.m. Marco Rubio, LTC Allen West, and other Congressional candidates will be there to answer questions. Please join me there, and for further information, go to http://www.sflaconservative.com/upcoming-events/freedom-forum-1/
It’s a great time of year. The Christmas season always is hectic, but it is very enjoyable. We will be heading to Disney for the week, but before we go, I wanted to wish each of you a Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukah, and a Happy New Year.
I have a difficult time not ripping our socialist president even during Christmas, but since he doesn’t believe America is a Christian country anyway, I guess it really doesn’t matter. I still don’t understand how you sit in a church with Reverend Wright for 20 years and don’t believe anything, then again, maybe I do.
The President just got home from that debacle of a conference in Copenhagen. Luckily for us, Obama wasn’t able to convince the world that America was totally evil and we should foot the bill for this alleged “Global Warming Catastrophe.” It seems China doesn’t bow down to the rest of the world’s leaders like our apologist does, so no agreement could be made. Isn’t that pathetic? We have to root for the Chinese to muck up the waters in order for us not to be shackled by the rest of the world.
Back at home, the outgoing Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid has scheduled a vote to take over 1/6th of the American economy on Christmas Eve. Doesn’t anybody in D.C. believe holidays should be spent at home with your family?
After the holidays, it will be time to work on removing this rubber stamp congress from power. South Florida Conservatives will be hosting gubernatorial candidate Speaker Marco Rubio and Congressional candidate Lt. Col. Allen West at a forum on January 23. I urge everyone to view the You Tube video with LTC West. He is a strong conservative voice. Contact me for information.
Have you seen the coverage of the G-20 protests in Pittsburgh? What strikes me is the difference between that protest and the 912 Project protest in Washington DC. Most people in the Country did not even know a protest was held in the Nation’s capital on 9/12/09 because of a dismissive and liberal media.
In Pittsburgh, the G-20 met, which brought with it the usual gang of anti-American, anti-democratic, environmentalist wackos that are attracted to every event meant to develop trade or capitalism. In the pictures you will see the same anarchists, anti-war groups, and extremist environmentalists that were in Miami when we had the FTAA meetings. They are a pathetic group.
So, who are the demonstrators in these two marches?
912 Project:

What were their grievances?

How did they interact with the authorities controlling the marches?
912 Project:

Who was called an angry mob, right wing extremists, racists, and radicals by Congressional Leaders and liberal media members?
An event that was largely ignored by the liberal media, avoided by a socialist president who went to Minnesota, trivialized by members of the administration, laughed at by the presidential spokesman, marginalized by liberal political pundits, and underestimated by the Capitol Police, was held in Washington DC and all around the Country on Saturday, September 12. I was proud to be in the Nation’s capitol for the largest gathering of conservatives in the history of the United States of America.
The Washington Times estimated the crowd at 600,000. CNN said there were about 50,000. No matter what the crowd, I was a proud participant with many thousands of others that peacefully demonstrated at the United States Capitol.
The most striking thing that I experienced was the make-up of the crowd. After hearing the empty rants of the left calling American citizens an “angry mob,” it was great to see exactly who this angry mob was. The amount of senior citizens and families was amazing. I would venture to guess that 90% of the people I saw on Saturday have never protested anything in their entire lives. Here are a couple pictures of the “angry mob”:
This was my first excursion into the life of a demonstrator. I have always been on the other side of the line. When policing demonstrations, you are always on the lookout for escalation of emotions that could trigger ugly incidents. Even though I was in the middle of a huge crowd and could barely move or even get within several hundred yards of the stage, I never felt the slightest hint of any aggressiveness. The crowd was incredible. The people were all friendly and respectful. I was honored to be there with them.
I would ask that if you are concerned about our Country, that you continue to stay informed about the actions of our government. Support candidates that believe this Country is great. Candidates that believe in smaller government, lower taxes, and democracy.
For the first time in my life, I am going to demonstrate for a cause. I, along with two friends from work, am going to Washington DC this weekend to participate in the 912 Project March on the Capitol.
I never thought it would come to this. I never imagined the leadership of this Country would take such a huge turn toward socialism in such a short period of time. It is astonishing that people who believe in individual freedom, democracy, and capitalism have to march and demonstrate to remind elected officials of the tenets the United States was established on.
The liberal media will probably dismiss this action by saying the participants are being bussed in by the GOP, or maybe the vast right-wing conspiracy is just a bunch of hateful hicks. Well, whatever they say, I know why I am going. I believe in small government, the free enterprise system, hard work, and the freedom to live without unnecessary government interference in my life. I believe there are many millions of people who believe as I do. I hope this socialist administration realizes that they are charged with protecting all Americans, not just the misguided 65 million that voted for this “change.”
So we are marching on Saturday. If you are near DC, come on out. I’m sure there will be a few of us there!
After an incredible amount of public pressure, that self-proclaimed communist and leftist radical Van Jones resigned as the Green Jobs Czar. All I have to say is Hallelujah! That is one radical that will have to find other ways to bleed the public of money for socialist programs. I guess our socialist President can still give Van a call for input when critical issues come up, like causing terrorist attacks or poisoning some of our own disadvantaged citizens, but at least we are not paying him for that advice.
There is so much for American citizens to do while this administration is in power. Just because one radical is gone, don’t let your guard down. This President has surrounded himself with an incredible amount of crazies, and it is our duty to continue to voice concerns and point out the socialist tendencies of many of President Obama’s advisors.
Who is next? Well there is always Sunstein who thinks animals should be able to sue us. We have Axelrod, whose mother was the editor of a communist newspaper. Rham Emanuel’s brother, Ezekiel Emanuel, a Special Advisor for Health Policy believes that some people are more worthy to be saved medically than others based upon their perceived contributions to society. Then there is John Holdren who believes that forced abortions and sterilizations are necessary to control population.
There are plenty of advisors to point to, and the most important thing to remember is that while these people are surely nuts, the President appointed them to advisor positions with full knowledge of their backgrounds. So the problem is the judgment and political philosophy of the President, not just the individual crazies that work around him. Don’t kid yourself, Obama knew everything that Van Jones believed, said, and did, PRIOR to his appointment. Do you really believe Obama doesn’t agree with him? This administration is full of nuts, so don’t think that we are done because one extremist resigned.
This week our Socialist President and the Democrat Party really outdid themselves moving America to a Country oppressed into silence. First the DNC put out an e-mail blasting American citizens voicing their concerns about socialized medicine. Here is a portion of the message:
The right wing extremists’ use of things like devil horns on pictures of our elected officials, hanging members of Congress in effigy, breathlessly questioning the President’s citizenship and the use of Nazi SS symbols and the like just shows how outside of the mainstream the Republican Party and their allies are. This type of anger and discord did not serve Republicans well in 2008 – and it is bound to backfire again.
Unlike some of my liberal friends, I wanted to see what these angry mobs looked like. So I found a video of an angry mob having the audacity to question the savior’s healthcare plan:
They look terrifying, don’t they? Roving bands of stark raving mad, mob rule right-wing extremists. NOT!
I seem to remember just a couple of years ago, it was the position of the Democrat party that the highest form of patriotism was the voicing of dissent. Here is a quote from a great leader in the Democrat party, Senator John Kerry, from a speech in April, 2006:
“I have come here today to reaffirm that it was right to dissent in 1971 from a war that was wrong. And to affirm that it is both a right and an obligation for Americans today to disagree with a President who is wrong, a policy that is wrong, and a war in Iraq that weakens the nation.”
Now we have the Democrats in the White House. I guess the highly touted patriotic duty of people to dissent has vanished. It is no longer convenient for the Democrats because they happen to be the ones making the policies. In communist countries, people are encouraged and even employed to inform on their neighbors to the government. I know this because it happened to my wife as she was growing up in Cuba. Our socialist president needs you to inform on fellow citizens if you believe they are spreading mis-information concerning the savior’s healthcare plan. Send an e-mail to flag@whitehouse.gov to report on your neighborhood conservative. To save all the people that watch me the trouble, I self reported my actions to the government by sending the following e-mail:
Greetings Mr. President,
I saw the report where you are seeking information on persons who are providing mis-information on your proposal for universal healthcare. I have knowledge of many people undermining the people of this Country. Unfortunately, most of the names I know are part of your administration.
For the second time in just 200 days, your administration has labeled people that disagree with your socialist tendencies as right-wing extremists. With my extensive math skills, that is one slur every 100 days. Hopefully you will only be a one term president, so using those previously described math skills, I will only have to endure about 12 more of your insulting and condescending remarks.
As I believe I am already on your list as a right-wing God fearing conservative, I find your efforts to create another watch list of right-wing conservatives duplicative. However, just in case one of your un-elected, non-accountable czars needs something to do, go ahead and add me to your new list of people who believe your socialist policy of universal healthcare is detrimental to this Country.
We are on the cusp of losing the Country we have come to recognize as the USA. The last world power, the Country where freedom is cherished and the people are actually in control. Join me in expressing your displeasure with this policy of creating hit lists of American citizens who are excercising their constitutional rights of free speech.
